Four Games of Chess
Showed me my Right Place…..
Not Once, Not twice but more than Thrice
Everytime I Played the Game, I Paid a heavy Price.

People with Greying Hair
Left me in Deep Despair…..
They Chopped me off with their revenge Knives
I suffered for the Fight they had with their Wives.

My king ran Helter-Skelter
Looking for a safe abode…..
There was none actually on the entire Board !
What I had done to deserve their unabated onslaught ?
I wasn’t today amongst the lucky Lot !

They came, They sat, They Conquered
I came, I sat & I Blundered.
